In 2018, MICG undertook an analysis of the Nairobi City County’s budget documents, Auditor General’s report, and budget implementation reports for the National Taxpayers Association (NTA).
The consultancy involved reviewing the fiscal policies and performance, highlighting discrepancies and offering recommendations for improving budget transparency, fiscal discipline, and accountability. The analysis also informed NTA’s advocacy efforts to ensure that Nairobi’s budget aligns with citizens’ needs and promotes efficient resource utilization.
