In 2018, MICG facilitated training for Nairobi County Treasury officers, County Budget & Economic Forum members, and administrators on planning and participatory budgeting. The training aimed at enhancing stakeholders’ understanding of financial management, budget analysis, and fostering greater citizen involvement in the budgeting process.
Through this initiative, Oxfam Kenya helped improve the transparency and inclusiveness of Nairobi’s budget cycle, ensuring better service delivery and resource allocation.
