MICG conducted a study for Oxfam Kenya in 2018 on the gendered impact of national and sub-national tax policies on small-scale traders in Nairobi County. The research highlighted how tax policies affect women traders differently and offered policy recommendations to address gender disparities.
The findings contributed to advocacy efforts for more inclusive tax policies that support the economic empowerment of women in Nairobi’s informal sector.
