In collaboration with AHADI and ALDEF Kenya, MICG conducted capacity-building workshops for Wajir and Garissa counties in 2019. These sessions focused on enhancing the counties’ understanding of the county planning and budgeting cycle, public participation, budget implementation, monitoring and review processes, and social accountability in service delivery.
The workshops equipped local leaders and officials with the tools to improve governance, financial transparency, and the delivery of public services, ultimately promoting more inclusive and sustainable development in these arid regions.
